#3 Obstacles

Jiyu is running through the street,  passing others. He is noticeably shorter than most of them.

Jiyu, "aww man, I'm gonna be late for orientation!" 

Almost runs into someone. 

Guy, "hey watch it kid!"

Jiyu, "sorry mister,I'm gonna be late for my first day at Dragon'sClaw!"

Guy, "Well you might wanna go in the right direction"

Jiyu stopping, "what?!"

Guy pointing,"yeah look,that tower is on school grounds. Keep going that way and you'll reach the campus gate."

Voice, "excuse me, you're going to Dragon's Claw too?"

Jiyu turning around, "yeah,what about it?"

Shinko is standing there in her trials uniform as well, "X" on her mask.

Shinko, "my apologies for listening, but may I follow you? I am terrible with directions."

Jiyu, [she sounds nice] "sure, long as you don't fall behind,ma'am."

Shinko, "Thank you,I'm Shinko,what's your name?"

Jiyu," I'm Jiyu Nokemono, please to meet cha!"

He puts his fist out to bump it.

She seems to smile and fist bumps.

Shinko, "okay Jiyu,lead the way please" (he said his full name, we aren't supposed to say that once we are accepted into the school)

Jiyu," yes ma'am, follow me!"

He takes off.

She follows.

Guy just looks as they leave.

Shinko,  [he is so fast!]

They are running through the town, jumping flipping and dodging their way through. 

Soon they are nearing the walls of the Senshi village.

Jiyu, "great we're gonna make it ma'am!"

Shinko, "excuse me,Jiyu. Why do you keep calling me ma'am?"

Jiyu,"well my brothers told me to always address your elders with respect."

Shinko,"Thats true Jiyu,but I'm only 16"

Jiyu, "hmm, well I'm only 12 so it still fits,right?"

Shinko, "really,I thought you were just short for your age."

Jiyu, "Shinko ma'am, do think you can jump the rooftops? It'll save time."

Shinko, "I think I can manage it. My clan is good at things like that."

Soon they are traveling the rooftops, when Jiyu shouts, " one more roof and we'll be able to see the gate!"

Shinko," please slow down Jiyu, I..."

As he keeps going she is struck by something."

She lands to see several boys in trial gear but without masks. One has a a chain, one in chest padding and the other crouching.

Tom,"awww look the little girl slipped"

Sydney," why were you up there running, that's so dangerous?"

Shinko, " Please excuse me, I must ..."

They block her way.

Dunsten," shut up,you make me sick always so polite,even when in the trials matches!"

Shinko," If you lost,maybe you should train harder and try again next time"

Tom picks up a pole," train harder,who do you think you are to tell me that?!"

Sydney approaches with his chain, "this is the end of your path."

Shinko,[I hope he made it to the gate...] "I'm sorry."

Sydney, "sorry for what?!"

He runs towards her swinging the chain over his head.

Shinko jumps into the swing of the chain spinning.

Sydney, "what?!"

He loses his grip on the chain.

She lands holding the chain as it is partially wrapped around her.

Shinko, "I'm sorry, that I dont have time for this." [I'm on my way]

She strikes Sydney and wraps the chain around his legs and jumps up (3 x) and 

Over a fence(or something), hanging him.

Shinko is coming down as she does...

Tom,"damn it, I'm gonna break you girl!"

Before she can react she is struck by Tom's swing.

Shinko is on the ground obviously hurt,[careless,I forgot about him]

Dunsten, "don't turn your back on us,trash."

Shinko,"what did you say?"

Dunsten, "you remember US now?"

Shinko ,[I fought them in the trials.]

He grabs her so Dunsten can hit her but she kicks him.

Tom still attacks, she does a spin kick knocking him back.

Dunsten, "not again!"

Shinko, "do not call people trash, when they succeed where you have failed."

She turns around to leave.

A tall man comes around the corner,  "you little boys are useless."

He seems to be carrying a huge wrench looking weapon.

Shinko, "excuse me sir, I need to pass."

He swings the weapon at her head,she  narrowly ducks by bending backwards. 

[He is so fast?!]

She kicks him but he is unaffected.

Dunsten, "Trench,let me finish her !"

Trench grabbing her by the wrist and lifting her, "shut up boy, you disgrace yourself."

He throws her down in front of him.

Shinko,"cough"

Trench, " don't get this wrong, this isn't personal.  This is just a job for me, you'll see as a Senshi ...{he smiles}..well you would have."

Shinko,[I can't move in time!]

Voice,"Stand Up!"

Trench and Dunsten confused looking around. 

Jiyu on a roof hidden by the sun, "Stand Up Shinko ma'am! No matter what, always stand back up!"

Shinko,{Jiyu why didn't you just go?}

She slowly stands.

Shinko,"I'm ready, Mr Trench." 

Trench, "hmmm..?"

Shinko, "Just one thing,that boy up there..."

Jiyu looking down.

Shinko,"he is going to be a Shicho one day. So please.."

She is running towards him.

"..don't get in his way!!!"

Trench, "worry about yourself!!"

They are charging each other to attack.

Thooommmm!

Dunsten has big eyes of surprise, "what.."

Jiyu is standing on top of Trench with his fist pointing towards his face.

Trench, " who the hell are you?!"

Jiyu," I'm Jiyu Nokemono, please to meet you."

He stands up.

"Never touch Shinko ma'am again!"

Later they are walking...

Shinko, "Jiyu, how did you do that with one hit?!"

 Jiyu,  " these fists are dragon tough!"

 Shinko,"You say some silly things,don't you little Jiyu?"

Jiyu scratches his head, " I guess so, hey,little Jiyu?".

Shinko, "he heh"

A few momemts later.They are walking.

Shinko," Oh one thing Little Jiyu."

Jiyu, " yeah?"

Shinko,"maybe keep that whole 12 years old thing to yourself. People may not take you serious if they knew."

Jiyu,"don't get it but whatever you say Shinko ma'am. "

The walk in separate directions.

End. 

#2. Promise

We see a massive court yard, the students are wearing masks with 'X' marked on them.

 There is a long line with a sign posted that reads “school uniforms”.

Many conversations are being had,some students have chosen to wait elsewhere while the line shortens. The area is massive with a field of grass a few trees as well as the paved area.

 There is a hill on the other side with a shade tree atop it, as well as a bench.

Buredo is sitting under a tree. Shitoku sits on the opposite side of the massive trunk,he is hooded with an "X" mask.

 He speaks to her, “excuse me,this is a good spot and nice tree too.”

The girl looking over to him, "so?"

Shitoku continues, "I dont feel like waiting in lines all day,so im waiting here"

Buredo, “why tell me this?."

Shitoku, "so that you dont bother me."

Girl, “I dont intend on...” 

Shitoku interrupting, "of course not, in return I promise you are gonna be left alone as well"

Buredo, { why did he say it like that?} "fine it is a deal between us."

Shitoku, {a promise}

As time passes we see the line go down a bit.

Soon students seem to be approaching the hill.They are engaged in conversation.

 Buredo gives a sigh. 

[A few yards away]

Student 1, “hey is that a girl under the tree over there?”

Student 2, “yeah I bet she is a member of strong clan.”

Student 3, “this is the best Saino No Gakku in all of the 7 countries. Only the strongest make it in here.”

Student 1, "yeah,but there is always someone stronger”

Student 3, “thats right,you could be the weakest of the strong ha ha ha!”

Student 4, “you guys are idiots.I’m going to be the strongest,period!”

Student 2, “yeah, yeah.”

Student 3, “let’s talk to her, I'm gonna need a strong girlfriend to get through the tough times.”

Suddenly directly in front of them a branch crashes in front of them. 

A voice from Shitoku.

Shitoku, “Hello fellas, I see you're about to make a big mistake.”

Student 1, “What are you talking about?”

Shitoku standing landing, “I don’t want the hassle but I can’t let you guys bother that girl over there.”

Student 3, {he was just on the bench over there}

Student 4, "why do you stand in the way, I must talk to her.”

Shitoku, “sorry guy”

Student 3 {guy?}  "Are you trying to protect her or something?”

Boy, “nothing so stupid, I am keeping a promise, even if it is a bit of a hassle.”

Student 3, " I don't care about a dumb promise!"

Shitoku,[idiot]

Suddenly student 3 begins to swing at Shitoku, “get out of my way!”

Shitoku turns his head towards him then without a warning he blocks the punch and puts the student on the ground.Pinning him to the ground with his foot.

Shitoku ,"why you are so loud?”

Student 1, “hey guys don't take it too far."{plenty of people are already good fighters here}

Shitoku looks back towards the hill. We see the female under the tree not looking up still just sitting there.

Ushiku, " get off of me!"

He gets off of the student, “I really just wanted to relax until I get back in line”

Student, “Are you sure about this?”

Student 1, " At least he doesn't seem like he wants to fight.”

Shitoku, "if you want this,lets just go all out. While we still can."

Student 3, “shut up, I hate cool acting guys like you!"

Shitoku, [cool?]

Ushiku, "you and I are gonna...”

Official steps in, “stop this foolishness.” 

Everyone seems taken off guard.

Student 1, "{where'd this guy come from?!}

Student 3 { an official, I had no idea he was even coming towards us!}

Official, "go on Gakusei,  dont wanna get expelled before orientation. Be plenty of time to break each other later."

Student 3 turns to walk away, "whatever, count yourself lucky"

Shitoku, " sure.[is the whole year gonna be a hassle?]"

Soon after back at the tree...

Under the tree the girl begins to talk, "I see you were ready to fight all of those students."

Shitoku, “well I made a promise right?”

Girl, "i didn't ask for it"

She looks in the direction of the students, seeing them walking away.

Shitoku, " nah,it wasn't much of a hassle anyway."

She looks up at him.

Buredo, “what is your name?”

 Shitoku, “I’m Shitoku, you are?”

The girl, “I’m Buredo…”

Shitoku stands as he fixes his hood and mask.

As he looks away, “looks like the line has cleared".

She turns toward the line, “indeed.” 

With his hands in his hood pockets,they walk off together.

Possible plot: Feral Hunter (Season 2)

Feral Hunter-

  Senshi tasked with hunting down dangerous Mystic creatures that are causing havoc. The Feral Hunters have a Saino that sends the creatures back to the Dark Plain,but have the authority to kill if can't be taken alive.

Ferals-

 Mystic creatures that are attacking people and destroying property sometimes randomly. These mystic creatures are usually enraged and erratic. 

Class A Feral-

  Is a humanoid species, with noticeable intelligence and understandable speech. They can wield weapons and their own version of Saino.

Class B Feral-

 Ferals using a fully evolved form that usally is forbidden except in certain designated areas. This form is very dangerous to untrained people, it causes a Zai sickness that can range from fatigue to death. This form is massive in size and the Feral doesn't speak any recognizable language.

Beasts-the most common targets. They are the dark plains version of wild life. They usually have no higher intellect and come in various sizes. They resemble natural animals with varying differences. 

Bridged- 

People that have partnered with Ferals and use their Dark Zai to perform Tairu. They can take on traits and abilities of the feral, due to the link between their Zai. Although can be overtaken at times.

Plot:

 A surge of Feral attacks causes the tactic division's Feral Branch to enlist other Senshi to assist them. In this situation teachers are out with students when a Feral attacks. 

 The Feral is fought off by a Feral Hunting Buntai. It is reported that several Senshi have been kidnapped.

Groups and Organizations: Shibu Zoku

The people of this land are all members of what they call clans. Clans consist of people related by blood,marriage and adoption.

There are common behaviors among them but most have unique rules,beliefs and cultures. 

Even the smallest of families are considered a clan. Due to the fact in the beginning nothing but clans roamed the lands. Due to centuries of wars,they are what remains.

   Most of the larger surviving clans are joined together in various groups called a Shibu Zoku.

     Shibu Zoku are the more prestigious groups of people. They usually consist of thousands to 100s of thousands due to so many clans with large numbers within them.

Shibu Zoku, have jurisdiction within their lands and the members of the clans that reside there. Most are aligned with the free government but those located in federal states enjoy the perks of aligning with them behind closed doors.

Teacher Workday Part II(?)

 Dan doing gestures {Sentairu: Blinding Windmill Shuriken}

 Several large shuriken are hurled towards Karada .

Jack, “Dan, I wanted first shot”

Karada is watching as the shuriken blink in and out of sight as they are hurled towards him.

Dan, “I got carried away.”

Karada {that’s a high level saino} “pretty good, but..”

He taps the ground {rock body wall}

[A wall of rock his height rises and the shuriken are embedded.]”…not good enough boys”

Jack, “I can do better!”

As he is running he gestures. { Karatairu:limit flex}

Karada, {coming in close,he increased his speed with tairu.}

Dan also joins in, they land opposite sides of Karada, “just like Captain training Jack!”

Both shout “Joint-Elementairu:drowning pool”

[A tall circle of earth wall surrounds Karada vines grow no wrap around Karada’s feet as water starts to fill area.]

Karada looking at the water rise, “joint elementairu, you two are full of surprises.” 

{they combined there tairu to make the effect of a higher level saino.}

Stop the wall Dan and Jack are looking down at the water covering  Karada.

Jack, “those vines are strong as several bamboo, he won’t be swimming to the surface.”

Dan turns to walk away, “let’s get back to our Shicho”

Jack pointing, “look!”

Dan looks at the water, “ what is going on?”

[steam is rising]

Suddenly Karada’s hands grab both of them by an ankle,with smoke coming from that spot.

As Karada slams them down they scream in agony.

Jack, “ ah, my leg is burning!

Karada looking at them , “you had to combine your attacks to create this Saino, that would usually take just one sensible to do. That means you aren’t equipped to do it,doesn’t mean you two couldn’t have become stronger your own way.”

Dan, “ it’s only the beginning.”

Karada, “no,as traitor’s it is the end.”

{terra impaling} 

Spikes emerge from the ground quickly impaling both Captains.

A voice from a distance,  “I see you haven’t lost a step Sensei.”{never underestimate the teachers of the strong}

Karada sees Baku on a nearby roof, “little Baku, come down and talk with me for a moment.”

Baku, “no time for that at the moment Sensei, I’m needed elsewhere.”

He leaves with mabakata.

[location switch.]

Shinjiro is leaning against a wall while communicating with someone, “I see, so things are getting a bit messed huh? Well I’ll pass it on to Hideo”

Hideo walking over, “well?”

Shinjiro smiling, “now”

Suddenly they appear right in front of the group they were monitoring.

Max, “what?”

Know and Subaru defend O’Hara.

O’Hara and Sedona, {I didn’t even feel their presence!}

Sam takes his place beside Sedonia 

Max, “don’t even think of coming near the Captain!”

Sam, “it’ll be the last thing you…”

Hideo making  gesture,{cool gust}  “oh please.”

Strong wind causing them to be lifted from the ground and sent flying away.

Sedonia just looks without speaking.

Captain O’Hara nods and suddenly Krow and Subaru are at the front he back of Shinjirowith a blade at the ready.

Krow, “those weaklings we’re still students when they were recruited, unlike us.”

Subaru, “yeah, we were already doing missions in the field when we were scouted.”

Shinjiro, “Shi Divison, I presume.”

Sedonia attacks Hideo, “worry about yourself teacher. {elementairu:flame cannon}

A concentrated cylinder of fire shoots form her joined palms and engulf Hideo as she is also sent flying back out of frame.

Sedonia looks at Shinjiro, “Hideo Tochio, I thought she would be tougher. You must be overrated too.”

power system (A)

Zaidan(Zai for short): is a natural source of energy that occurs in every living being. It is seperate from stamina and calories.

Everyone is born with it,although amounts vary but not every person can access it or manipulate it. On top of that the majority of Zai is blocked off at birth. 

The "walls" can be removed by a special method developed centuries ago by the "creators".

Zai can be used to perform Saino/Tairu.

 Training with meditation and physical exertion can increase the amount and potency of the Zai. Even still,that varies from person to person. Although sometimes lineage dictates people's potential amount and potency.

Draw Backs:

1. Accessing Zai untrained can cause physical damage.

2. Attempting Saino/Tairu without "The Clearing" or a version of it, can cause excruciating pain at the most,the least the technique will fail or be extremely weak.

3. Using too much Zai at one time can cause fatigue and pressure on the body.

4. Using all of the Zai in the body could take days to weeks before the proper amount of zai returns.

5. Zai of individuals cannot mix or interact unless matched.  Meaning attempting to give someone Zai that is not the same frequency will result in a reaction. (There are skilled users that can match their Zai with others)

Tairu(style): a category of techniques that use Zaidan to perform.  They use the manipulation of Zai from within to create various effects.

Saino: A category for techniques you have a natural affinity to perform. Most able to become Senshi have affinity to perform Saino. Some more than others.

Scripts: are essentially written with the user's Zai embedded. They are used for various purposes,from defense and offense to healing. Although written with Zai,no further is needed to release or activate the script.

Zaiden Star: is a mapping & measuring system with sections called "points". Each point of the star represents a type of Zaidan energy present within the user.

The five points are:

 Flame: Can perform Tairu that creates/uses fire and can defend against fire based tairu. Depending on the strength levels, against water as well.

 Water: Can perform Tairu that creates/uses water and can defend against water based offensive tairu. Depending on the strength levels, against fire as well.

 Wind: Can perform tairu that creates/uses wind and can be combined with water based tairu. Depending on the strength levels against Terra as well. Feeds fire,unless fire is greatly weaker than the wind attack.

 Terra: Can perform tairu that creates/uses terra/earth and can defend against certain fire based offensive tairu. Depending on the skill levels,can either be combined with or work against water. 

 Mind: Can perfom illusion based tairu, from sound, to visual. Depending on the users skill and strength, range from mental illusion to actual walking dreams that appear out in the open.

Core- the center of the Zai Star map, it is the measurement of the non elemental Zai. The Zai every tairu user can access. It is the source of the Karatairu, Kentairu and non elemental Sentairu.

Combined points: when a Saino user has high skill and certain levels in multiple Zaidan points.

Movement: mind/wind/Heart(Karatairu)

*Steam: water/flame 

** Halo- is an unpredictably occurring energy source. It can be accessed to perform space/time movement and environment altering Saino. 

Rhenze are the only ones known to be born with a Halo present.

Some have tried to mimic this by combining Zai and Aspect to create an artificial energy called Urageishi. But that takes a level of control beyond most. Also the cost of doing so greatly injures the user.
