Jiyu is still standing on the desk and chair, students whisper to each other.
“what’s with this kid?”
Teacher Yugana, "Jiyu I admire your excitement…now sit down.”
He sits down as the students focus on Teacher Yugana.
“the reason Jiyu can say his entire name, is simple.”
He looks directly at Jiyu, “that is a designated name of the ones without family,right?”
Jiyu, “it was given to me by the family that raised me in the village I grew up in. Doesn’t that make it a family name?.”
Teacher smiling, “fair enough Jiyu.” {he is oblivious}
Shitoku, [ he’s an orphan]
Teacher Yugana, “Everyday, early morning you will meet here before your first class and even on days where you have no classes.”
Student raises hand, “what about vacation and breaks?”
Teacher, “you won’t have any of that until graduation.”
All the students grunt with disappointment.
Teacher continuing, “the purpose for meeting here is for me to brief you on events. To take accountability and for any additional training I might have for you. Also at the end of every week,I will give my own skills test. Just to gauge your progress."
Teacher Yugana walks to his desk and picks up a book and opens it.
“okay now, everyone introduce yourselves starting with the far right side. Stand up, let’s see who we have here.”
Ushiku stands up, “guess we’re starting with the best first, I’m Ushiku,the strongest student this school has ever seen!”
Shitoku, { great, it's the loud one from earlier}
Takaharu stands up and faces him, “well isnt that cute? Im going to be a legendary Senshi, Takaharu is the name!”
Shitoku {great,he found a friend} "you know most legends are dead"
Takaharu, "whatever"
Teacher Yugana, “passionate students this year,continue.”
He writes in his book.
Next Sanjo stands, “I’m Sanjo, I want to enlist in the Search and Explore Division,so I can live an adventurous life. So I guess I gotta learn how to use all the Senshi arts I can.”
Osata next to him rises up, “I’m Osata and my goal is to learn the secrets of the Senshi.”
Ushiku," What are you two geeks talking about? Adventure and secrets, so stupid just get stronger don't waste time with that crap!"
After a moment everyone looks to the left, seems someone isn’t paying attention.
Shitoku has his feet up and hands behind his head.
Ushiku, “Hey jerk, stand up!”
Student putting his feet down, “man, you talk so loud..”
He stands up and puts his hands in his pockets, “I’m Shitoku.”
He sits back down.
Takaharu, “that’s all,are you too good or something?!”
Shitoku, “you’re a loud one too?”Ushiku, {I know that voice!}"you...?"
Sanjo , “just say something about yourself,like a goal”
Shitoku, “Alright alright, uhm... I want to graduate,soon as possible. So I can get on with my life.”
Osata, “that’s it?”Jiyu, "Thats great Shitoku."Shitoku, "what?"
Jiyu, while looking at Shitoku, “we all have the goal to become Senshi.”
Jiyu gives him a thumbs up.
Shitoku, “yeah,I guess we do.”
He lays back and puts his feet up like before.
Ushiku, “you’re a cocky bastard.”
Teacher Yugana, “well I’ve got all I need, now Gakusei, let’s go to your first class.”
Kyoshi wearing a suit.Yugana, "You,you're..."Kyoshi interrupting, "... that’s right I am going to be your Teaching assistant. Hello class!"
Yugana," I see. Well this is your "Zero" Teacher, he will watch over your academic progress and watch you from time to time when I can't."
Kyoshi with a big, "yes, just call me,professor. I'm sure we will all get along well!"
Later..
The class is walking the spacious corridors of Bartros Hall. Following their guide Orange Class Homeroom Teacher Bruce Yugana.
Osata, “Excuse me Sensei, how serious are the first year classes?”
Ushiku," doesn't matter, I’ll run this place in a few weeks.”
Teacher Yugana walking ahead of them with his head forward and writing in his book, “Dragon's Claw is a vast and dangerous place. Students don't always live til the end, some die in the first season.”
Osata, "wow, that sounds…”
Shitoku, “like a hassle.”
Ushiku, "I’ll out live any of you losers!”
Jiyu is behind everyone else walking,looking around.
Takaharu notices and “Hey, I bet Jiyu gets stronger than you.”
Sanjo, “yeah, I think he will too.”
Everyone laughs a little except Ushiku.
Ushiku, “that loser,will never surpass me!”
Teacher Yugana glances back at the students without them noticing him, (oblivious)
Soon they arrive at an auditorium surrounded by bleachers. The students are all looking around in wonder at the size of it.
In the middle of this arena is a lone figure. Teacher Yugana walking up we see an older man with glasses.
“Hello Sensei Kashikoi, meet first season Orange Class.”
He hands him the notebook he was writing in during role call.
Sensei Kashikoi, “thank you Yugana sensei, this is useful.”
He looks over it and pauses for a moment as he looks up at the group, then hands it back to him.
“Thank you, now shall we begin, Orange Class? I am the School historian, Kashikoi Hanashi”
Ushiku, “when do we learn how to be Senshi? This sounds boring!”
Osata, “Ushiku, if we are to become true Senshi then we must know what that truly means. So we have to learn where they came from…"
Ushiku folding his arms and looking away, “yeah whatever.”
Takaharu, “besides he is probably gonna tell us how legendary the first Senshi were.”
Shitoku, “well a History lesson doesn’t seem too bad, I can relax a bit.”
Teacher Yugana begins to walk towards the students, “well this is where I leave you class. I have to get back to the Zero students,briefing.”
As he walks through them they make room and as he gets just beyond them he slightly turns his head, “don’t give Kashikoi Sensei any trouble okay?”
Jiyu, “no way,Sensei.”
Yugana, turns his head forward, takes one step and disappears.
Jiyu is behind everyone that just saw him leave, “wow, that’s awesome.”
Osata, “that was Senshi fast movement called Mabataki. Have you never seen it ?”
Jiyu pointing, “yeah not that…”
They turn and look at him pointing
“this!”
They suddenly seem to be outside on a huge battlefield. There are mountains in the background and hundreds of warriors surrounding them.
Historian Kashikoi, “this is your first lesson…”
Next: “ The Birth Of the Senshi”
