Living Plain,for example is the place majority of the story takes place.
Living Plain:
Where all living creatures and countries reside.
Dark Plain:
This realm is where the mystic creatures reside and originate. The Rhenze also dwell here,the descendants of the "Lost People".
This Plain is different in many ways,for example the spiritual atmosphere is "heavier".
Aspect is so potent, that it weighs down newcomers. The Zai flow of this plain also affects users in a devastating way. The Zai becomes more compressed within those that can adapt. Unfortunately it takes years to be able to perform Saino in the Dark Plain.
Which is why generations later after the "lost" arrived is when the Rhenze truly became part of this world. Now it is genetic and they are born completely adapted to the environment.
Rhenze are also able to naturally tap into their Aspect. Which is impossible to do by a foreigner,it would most likely kill them. Aspect is the energy around every living being, that is comprised of energy gathered from the environment.
The Dark Plain is full of "Atra" which is the energy of this world,it fuels the darkness and feeds the life there. It allows the Rhenze and other natives to see clearly, and can be manipulated as if solid by masters of the "Celestial Arts". Ex. the Juedi of the Rhenze, high ranking officers and royals.
The Dark Plain is a doorway to the Living Plain and the After Plain. Rhenze and others have the knowledge and ability to travel to the Living Plain freely. Travel to the After Plain is much more difficult and harrowing, especially for thise from the living Plain.

After/Spiritual Plain:
Thus is the Plain where thise that have lived in the Livibg Plain reside after death. It has many different areas within it. It is the most vast. Certain places are for certain spirits.
The energy used there is unlike any in the other two realms.
Shakti is the energy used by and sustains inhabitants there. Shakti used as a tool has the ability to cease or create. It cannot be used anywhere other than the After Plain.
There is no good and evil before the After Plain unless laws are broken within the After Plain.
The inhabitants of the realm can communicate with the living under circumstances. Some can travel to the Living Plain as well,but it is limited. They can stay as long as they have Shakti energy. But once it depletes they return.
Three forms of travel for are available, they all have rules/qualifications.
Traveling to the After Plain is something thise of the Dark realm have done but the pathway from Living to After is a journey that could destroy the body.
